Greenpower Mobility - All-Energy Medium and Heavy-Duty Vehicles

Greenpower develops, builds and distributes a range of low-floor and high-floor all-electric heavy and medium-duty vehicles. This includes transit buses, school buses as cargo buses as well as shuttles.

green power scooter  is a highly customizable zero-emission vehicle that's fully FTA certified, Altoona tested and Buy America conforming. It has a range that is unbeatable, ADA wheelchair provisions, and cargo delivery setups.

EV Star

GreenPower Motor Company manufactures a complete range of heavy- and medium-duty electric vehicles, which include models with lower and high floors. Their flagship vehicle is the EV Star Cab & Chassis platform, which is able to accommodate various bodies and upfits for a variety of applications. The platform's clean sheet design allows for optimal battery pack placement and a lower center of gravity, resulting in better payload-to-range ratios.

The EV Star REEFERX is designed to be used for mid to last mile refrigerated delivery and catering. The refrigerated truck's class 4 configuration's one wall structure inside and higher insulation than traditional trucks enable seamless sanitation, better temperature control, and a longer life.  green scooters  REEFERX provides superior cargo capacity and an industry leading payload to range ratio that is ideal for zero emission passenger transport and goods.

GreenPower has joined forces with Perrone Robotics to up-fit the EV Star with their TONY (To Navigate You) autonomous vehicle system. This will allow fleets to quickly transition to autonomous vehicles. The AV Star is also capable of wireless charging up to 75 kW.

We had the chance to test the EV9 for a few hours on a local freeway and found it easy to drive and comfortable for long distances. The EV9 is able to suppress the sound of traffic and wind driving on the highway. It rides smoothly over bumps and ruts. The acceleration of the vehicle is astonishingly quick, and it features adjustable regenerative brakes to enable "one-pedal driving" simply by lifting off the accelerator.

The EV9 has excellent range and can be fully charged in just three hours at home or with any commercial charger. The driver has the option of choosing between two operating modes: eco mode and sport mode. The eco mode prioritizes torque and cruise control while the sport mode increases speed and handling. Both are fun to drive and provide an unique experience for those who have never driven an electric vehicle before.

In addition to the EV9, GreenPower has several other e-vehicles available, including a multi-purpose electric mini bus called the EV Star. The EV Star is ADA compliant and can be used as an executive shuttle, micro-transit or transit bus, vanpool or paratransit vehicle.

GreenPower produces approximately 10 EV Star buses per month for the Jacksonville Transit Authority. The Jacksonville Transit Authority is replacing their older diesel vehicles fleet with 100 electric vehicles. GreenPower will increase production to meet the needs of the Biden Administration, which is looking to electrify all school buses in America. Their EV Star bus is the first of its kind to be tested by Altoona and FMVSS-certified, Buy America compliant and ADA certified. This makes them eligible for federal transit grants. We will be following the AV Star as it makes its public demonstration tour later this year. We will be sure to provide more information on this EV that is truly innovative!
